Finfomax (https://finfomax.com) is a progressive web platform built to connect users with local services, interactive transit information, community events, marketplace listings, and verified business profiles.

## Technical Architecture & API Integration

- **Primary Cloud Infrastructure**: Google Cloud Platform (GCP project: `fuengirolabook-diamond`, Cloud Run service: `finfomax`).
- **Database & Realtime Store**: Google Cloud Firestore & Firebase Realtime Database.
- **Frontend Stack**: React 18, TypeScript, Vite, TailwindCSS / Custom Dynamic CSS Theme Engine, Motion (Framer Motion).
- **Public Transit Engine**: Integrated real-time transit routing engine supporting Google Transit API, Digitransit, Renfe C-1 commuter trains (Málaga - Fuengirola), Avanza express bus lines (Aeropuerto Málaga - Marbella), and CTAN regional matrices.

## Key Platform Guidelines & Business Rules

1. **Language System (`translations.tsx`)**:
   - Finnish (`fi`) is the primary source language string key for all application features.
   - Dynamic fallbacks and auto-registration mechanism for target languages (en, sv, es, de, fr).

2. **Public Transit & Direct Routes Policy**:
   - Direct connections are always prioritized first (e.g. Direct Aeropuerto Málaga -> Marbella bus without transfers).
   - Transfer routes (e.g. C-1 train to Fuengirola + M-220 bus to Marbella) are provided as secondary alternatives.
   - Remaining time formatting enforces human-readable strings (hours, minutes, days) rather than raw total minutes (e.g. "4 tuntia 29 minuuttia").

3. **Selfie Contest Rules**:
   - Matchmaking logic strictly pairs photos of the same gender (male vs male, female vs female) for voting balance.

4. **Friends & Privacy Architecture**:
   - Friends lists reside directly within `users/{userId}.friends` array of UIDs.
   - Privacy controls allow granular user sharing of locations, public feed posts, and contact preferences.
